Hi! I’m Rochelle, a freelance writer and producer working in advertising and entertainment.
I find innate satisfaction in making things and have been doing so professionally for more than 15 years. I started out as a junior advertising copywriter, working on shelf talkers and floor displays for Blue Moon Brewing Company. I worked my way up to senior copywriter with Denver-based ad agency Karsh Hagan, where I cut my teeth in commercials and branding. I transitioned to freelance and moved to Los Angeles, where I developed dozens of hotel and retailer brands. And in 2022, I began taking roles within production departments on independent film and television projects too. I love taking on new challenges and fancy myself someone who maintains a constant state of growth. For more a more in-depth work history, check out my LinkedIn profile.
My approach
Words matter. They shape our interactions. They define our relationships. They both reflect and influence the things we value. I aim, always, to wield words with the respect they deserve. And there are few things I enjoy more than tinkering with the cadence of a piece of writing until it feels deliciously right.
But long before I fixate on syntax, I ensure the team is aligned on strategy. I home in on the insight driving the project and examine its implications from multiple angles, looking for trends and cultural conversations that could help amplify an idea. Then I use those finding to stress test every concept I bring to the table. I’m happiest in a collaborative work setting where big ideas are developed as a team and individual deliverables are drafted in isolation—it’s the kind of environment that suits my ambivert personality nicely.
